Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 1, 2026
StreamScope ("we," "us," or "our") operates the StreamScope mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We built StreamScope to be a straightforward tool for seeing what's trending on your streaming services. We collect only what we need to make the app work, and we do not sell your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address through our authentication provider (Supabase). This is used to identify your account and send you important service communications.
Streaming Service Selections
You tell us which streaming services you subscribe to (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Disney+). We store these selections to personalize the content we show you.
Push Notification Tokens
If you opt in to push notifications, we store your device's push notification token (via Expo Push Notifications) so we can send you daily trending updates.
Device Information
We collect basic device information such as operating system and device model. This helps us optimize the app experience and debug issues.
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymous usage data about how you interact with the app, such as which features you use and how often. This helps us improve the product.
Advertising Data (Free Tier)
If you use StreamScope on the free tier, we display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. We do not engage in cross-app tracking. Pro subscribers ($2.99/month) see no ads and no ad-related data is collected.
Subscription Data
If you subscribe to StreamScope Pro, your purchase and subscription status are managed by RevenueCat. We receive subscription status information but do not directly handle your payment details — those are processed by Apple or Google.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not collect:
- Viewing or watch history — We do not track what you watch on any streaming service.
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos, camera, or microphone access
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Show you personalized trending content based on your selected streaming services
- Send push notifications about daily trending content (if you opt in)
- Manage your account and subscription
- Improve the app based on usage patterns
- Display relevant ads to free-tier users
- Debug technical issues and improve reliability
4. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party services to operate StreamScope. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Privacy Policy

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the app. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Data Retention
- Account data (email, service selections, preferences) is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).
- Trending and ranking data is public, aggregate information sourced from streaming services. It is not tied to individual users.
- Usage analytics are retained in aggregate form and are not linked to your identity after 90 days.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Our database is hosted on Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest, network isolation, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
StreamScope is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@streamscope.app and we will promptly delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion — Request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
- Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Opt out of ads — Upgrade to Pro to remove all advertising, or adjust your device's ad tracking settings.
